Catch up: Rhian E Jones continued her look at all things Welsh in Border Country (here), this week focusing on Welsh music. Friday saw an unmissable live transatlantic conversation and soundclash between two of Repeater Radio’s big-hitters Neon Screams and Ctrl Alt Repeat (here), competing and combining forces in a one-off CTRL ALT SCREAM (here). One half of The Gleaners, Radio Compass debuted with a look at the music and politics of Santiago (here) and Lou Barnells’ superb In Process was back for its monthly slot (here) Tommy Sissons got to grips with Jameson, Eagleton and others in Rebel Reading List (here) and Dan Evan’s embarked on an epic investigation with the equally epic Danny Dorling around our Nation of Shopkeepers (here). Aliki Vatidi-Turp corrupted us all even further with a transgressive mix (here) and we spilled over into Saturday this week with another round of Scots-Geordie vanguardism. Radical Scotland and the TOPH Massive assembled like Voltron to offer up a four hour mini festival of experimental and experiential wildness.( here, here, and here)

This week: Neon Screams offers up the third part of his History trilogy with a mix covering “UK street music from 1990 to now. Going through the ’nuum and out the other end, from rave’s "feel good" to drill’s "feel nothing". No Humans Involved, a discussion show on Heteronormativity and horror returns for its second episode with a discussion of Teeth. The Gleaner’s Burner Phone is back with a focus on feminist struggles from London to Mexico City. Mariam Rezaei’s These are the Breaks continues its history of Turntablism and we have another Friday packed with goodies from Dr Smash, Grafton Tanner’s Delusioneering, Pepe Tesoro’s Ultratubo and another lip-smacking serving of Mintcake Time.

Coming up:. We are also delighted to announce that Graham Jones author of Shock Doctrine of the Left will be launching the show Red Enlightenment, an 8-part exploration of socialism, science, and spirituality. The Northern Independence Party will be agitating for a Northern Rising and jonny mugwump will be setting up a set of label showcases and channeling the occult babble of his outernationalist spirit posse into a multi-hued vortex of post-musical manifestations via the ouija board he keeps in a cupboard in the spare room over at the The Neon Hospice.
